NYFW SS/11 | Sally Lapointe

In Fashion & Photography

It was the print that moved me. A collection of strong shoulders and movement, I found myself fixated on this faded mosaic print occasionally washing over the looks.

Sally Lapointe‘s signature seems to be in her structure. Each season she sends down at least a few jackets which have become an almost staple to her customer and have even caught the eye of pop culture phenom Lady Gaga. This season is no different, as within the warehouse of a venue, she presented one long sleeved style and a variety of short sleeved-to-sleeveless jackets. With their almost impenetrable shoulders and yet flowing panels, they harp on a concept that’s integral to the Lapointe aesthetic: juxtapositions.
