RB What first gave you the acting bug?
CB I’ve always loved performing, but I knew acting was my passion when I was cast in my elementary school play when I was in grade 5. I also used to watch lots of movies and memorise the lines so that I could say them along with the actors in screen.
RB You’ve worked across Theatre, Television and Film, which is your favourite, why?
CB I love them all because they’re just so different. Theater is how I started and I love the immediate audience reactions, but unfortunately it’s hard to make a living from theater. I’d be happy to do a bit of everything without cornering myself.
RB You’ve worked alongside some massive super stars, who has given you the best advice?
CB I’ve been so lucky to have worked with some of the industry’s best performers. I wouldn’t say I’ve ever had specific advice from any of them, but rather I’ve taken it upon myself to observe their professionalism and process, and have applied that to my own work ethics.
RB Tell us about your upcoming projects?
CB I was recently on the big screen playing Steve Martin’s daughter in law in Fox Picture’s “The Big Year’. Next year I can also be seen starring in the SYFY original movies “Ghost Storm” and “Mega Cyclone” and guest starring on the CW’s “The Secret Circle” and a new yet to be named CTV show!
RB Who would you most like to work with?
CB I’m a huge comedy junky so I would love to work with some of my favorites, including: Bill Murray, Emma Stone, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, and Vince Vaugh. It would be a dream to work with Reese Witherspoon and Leonardo Dicaprio, which are two actors I look up to professionally.
RB What kind of character would you still like to play?
CB I love comedy, so I definitely see much more of that in my future. To host SNL would be a dream come true. I would also like to be an antagonist in a psychological thriller. I love challenging myself to the limit; that’s why I’m attracted to comedy so much. It’s a real talent to be able to make people laugh.
RB How do you describe your red carpet style?
CB I love to dress comfortably but still evoke a glam, girly, and sexy look. I think it all depends on your mood, but whatever your mood your look can always be pumped up with a great pair of heels.
RB Tell us something people don’t know about you?
CB That I’m really scared of spiders!
RB Describe yourself in 5 words . . .
CB Goofy, loyal, generous, talkative, & hard working
RB We hear you like to cook, what’s your signature dish?
CB My lasagne with home made meat sauce is always a hit and my pot roast melts in your mouth not in your hand!
