
For Fall 2012 the menswear collections are just that: collections, incomplete less they come with a wide brimmed hat, coat, blazer, vest, bag or any one of the other covetable add-ons. Emporio Armani with their long silhouettes in dark palettes was only one of the brands to use the tactic.
For relaxed looks Giorgio sent down a number of simple long sleeved shirts over thinly proportioned trousers. Leather gloves, a necklace and a wide brimmed hat complete the look. The same leather, as well as a bit of sheepskin, was also used in half vests and full length trench coats. The lines of the collection call to discipline, causing silhouettes, though long enough only to flow, but never enough to be confused with a flutter. Slight Asian influences seem infused with the collection by way of deconstructed jackets and origami like draping
