Last Night marked the fist time Brazilian shoe god, Melissa, has ever opened a boutique outside of Brazil. That’s right, Melissa Shoes is now here in New York City! Creative director Edson Matsuo worked with architects Domingos Pacascali and Moema Wertheimer to create an atmosphere that represents the city’s busy streets, and a sense of a canvas for products created by Melissa. What a beautiful place! Galeria Melissa houses some of her most recent collaborations with Gareth Pugh, Vivienne Westwood, Karim Rashid, Gaetano Pesce, and the Campana Brothers. Last night, artist Eli Sudbrack created a psychedelic video to be projected on the walls of the store, as well as a few installation pieces that were mind blowing!
This New York flagship store is Melissa first step to taking over the world, one foot at a time.
