Hova and Yeezy have finally released a video to ‘Ni**as In Paris’, a song which asks the sartorial questions: “What’s Gucci, my ni**a? / What’s Louis, my killa?” and perhaps most importantly, “What’s that jacket, Margiela?” One of the biggest tracks from their massive, collaborative 2011 album ‘Watch The Throne’, the clip is composed predominantly of footage filmed during a tour stop at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. The rest is a kaleidescopic blur of lasers, strobe lights, hot models and obligatory shots of the City of Light. The bravest element of this Kanye-directed video, however, is a two-way tie between the use of live audio, something most artists in this age of Auto-Tune wouldn’t even dream of, and Yeezy’s leather kilt (skirt?) Bravery points for that one, indeed.
