Just a few weeks ago E. Tautz was one of the four menswear brands ever to be named winner of the Fashion Forward sponsorship scheme amongst the likes of J.W Anderson, Christopher Shannon and James Long. Patrick Grand represented his well deserved title by staying true to his militant yet sporty aesthetic. There were subtle influences of North African inspiration borrowing candy colored shades of hot pink, cerulean blue and saffron yellow from Moroccan priests robes. The color intensity infused with baggy shapes and silhouettes kept the ethnic references on a lower profile keeping the focus on precision and tailoring. Graphic tees, full piece jumpers, and the pairing of bucket hats allowed the collection to remain young. A playful yet elegant E.Tauz’s customer can now reminisce about the-private-school days. Which is only proper for the first Menswear (only) fashion week in London.
