Thom Browne showed one of the most brilliant and colorful shows of the season. A whirlwind of clashing colors and prints in the form of sharply tailored, modern garments. Browne sent barefoot models in silver tubes tiptoeing into the Maison de le Chimie to step into large metal brogues, lined up and waiting for them. All at once they dropped their tubes to reveal the imbroglio that is, Thom Browne Spring/Summer 2013. Thom served up a nutty New England prep in candy colored madras and ginghams on sleeveless blazers, cropped trousers, bucket hats and knee socks.
One of my favorite touches was the juvenile whales and lobster motifs that covered most of the collection (some came embroidered with tiny pearls).
