Anthony Bourdain Death – Suicide or Murder?

Anthony Bourdain was a well-recognized American celebrity chef, author, and travel documentarian. He was born on June 25, 1956 and died on June 8, 2018. Anthony’s suicidal death was no less than a shock for the industry but somehow we all knew that it was expected.

Anthony Bourdain rose to fame when his book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly was published in 2000. It took no time to became his bestselling book. He has done multiple TV shows as a chef and collected loads of appraisal from his fans.

It was way before this tragic incident when he revealed that he used to have suicidal thoughts after separating from his first wife. Moreover, he also opened about his drug addictions. He went through a lot  to recover from heroin addiction.

Anthony married his for the first time in 1985 but his unfortunately his marriage with wife Nancy Putkoski ended in 2005. After spending 20 years together, they parted their ways. Consequently, Anthony ended up being aimless and regularly suicidal.

As per the resources, in the early days of June 2018, Anthony was working on a project with one of his friends. Things were going normal until the day when he missed dinner and then breakfast. It was June 8, 2018 when Anthony Bourdain was found dead in Hôtel Restaurants Spa Alsace, Kaysersberg-Vignoble, France. He hanged himself to commit suicide.

 

The public prosecutor for Colmar claimed that there were no sign of violence on Anthony’s body. It was revealed that his suicide is an impulsive act might be triggered by a trauma. However, he wasn’t under the influence of any drugs and only a minor trace of a therapeutic non-narcotic medicine was found in his body.

Keeping all this in view, we can probably think that someone staged this suicide and killed him. However, as his mental health was fragile enough to have suicidal thoughts, we have to accept that he took his life with his own hands.
