When Amra was just two, her dad, Jeezy (whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins), proposed to her mom, Mahlet Mahi Gebremedhin, on Christmas Day in 2016. He gave her a special gift – a Range Rover with seat covers that had Mahi’s name on them.

However, the pair were still not married by 2018, two years after the proposal and four years after Amra’s birth. The following year, in 2019, they decided to part ways. Not long after their separation, Jeezy began a new relationship.

However, in 2020, amidst the COVID outbreak, Mahi took legal action against Amra’s dad for failing to uphold their child support arrangement. She also said that Jeezy wasn’t present in their child’s life. Her lawyer mentioned,

“…She is originally from Ethiopia and has no family in the United States. She’s their child’s primary caregiver in these challenging times.”

Jeezy denied all these allegations. Later, Mahi moved the case to family court, where both sides came to an agreement. Currently, the matter has been settled.
